Celebrating 6 Years of God’s Faithfulness in Oaxaca
There are moments in ministry when you step back and simply give thanks for what God has done.
This past week was one of those moments.
In Oaxaca, Mexico, we celebrated the 6th anniversary of Hospital de Fe Church, a beautiful reminder that even in seasons of uncertainty, God is faithful to build His Church.
It’s been incredible to watch how this church has grown over the past six years. The journey hasn’t been easy. In fact, the church began just before public gatherings were shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, a season that slowed everything down. Yet through it all, God faithfully led Pastor Eliel and Jessica Osorio.
From a Carport to a Thriving Church
When they were finally able to meet again, they began gathering in the carport of their home. As the church grew, they moved into a small facility, but soon outgrew that space as well.
Then, two years ago, God provided their current location.
Today, the church is thriving, with 100–150 people attending each service over the past year and a half.
Even more encouraging is what God is doing in the lives of people:

Young people are being reached
-
New believers are coming to Christ
-
Baptisms are taking place
-
A strong team of leaders is being raised up
They are also moving toward becoming an officially organized church within the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico later this year.
A Church Full of Life
When Dawn and I visited in October, we were deeply encouraged.
From the moment we arrived, we felt the love of the people and their genuine hunger to grow in their faith. The service was vibrant and full of life—it was clear that the Holy Spirit is at work in this church.
There is a sense of momentum, growth, and expectation for what God is continuing to do.
Standing Firm in Spiritual Battle
Even as the church grows, there are spiritual battles.
Recently, Dawn and I prayed with Eliel and Jessica for peace and protection over their family. We thank the Lord for answering that prayer—they shared that they are now experiencing greater peace and are able to rest better at night.
This is a powerful reminder that as the Kingdom advances, spiritual warfare is real—but so is God’s faithfulness.
