Pastor Leo and Gloria in front of the sign to pray. If you look close you will see on the 2nd line the request, Hno. David Diaso su casa (brother, David Diaso for his house)
I was so encouraged when we visited the Lo Mejor del Trigo church in Rosarito last Friday. It was wonderful to be with pastor Leo Nevarez and his wife, Gloria. Just that alone was a huge blessing! But there was something else that touched me.
I noticed that they had my name on their white board in the trailer home next to the church. I asked the pastor about it, and he said they had written it on a bigger board in the church as well. The last time I visited the church I asked them to pray for the sale of our house. They wrote my request on their prayer board.
It encourages my soul to know that this church is praying for us. It gives me hope that God is guiding and directing the timing of our move. We have so many people praying that even though we’ve been waiting a whole year for our house to sell, I know that the Lord has a plan and a purpose in all of this.
Friends are praying in Rosarito for God to hear our cry, and sell our home so we can move to the border soon. It’s a prayer request that transcends borders and cultures. It nourishes my soul to know that brothers and sisters in the Rosarito church are taking seriously our request. They are standing with us in this kingdom work.
It’s so hard to wait. Yet God’s timing is perfect.
With our friends in Mexico and all around the world we commit our home, and the timing on the sale of our home to the Lord.
“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.… The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.”
—Proverbs 16:3,9 (ESV)
Thanks you, Lord that we have friends that take seriously your promise, that we have not, because we ask not. Ask and you will receive.
In His Grip, Dave
