A Simple Toy… A Powerful Reminder of Hope
What if a simple toy could remind a child that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten?
In Cuba, where many families are struggling just to find food for the day, even the smallest gift can become a powerful expression of God’s love.
Yaima, one of our key leaders for Hannah’s Toys of Hope, has been faithfully working alongside several pastors to reach children and families in desperate need.
The Power of a Simple Gift
Currently, we are supporting several pastors with a monthly offering. Yaima shared that when these pastors receive the support, their response is one of deep gratitude. In the midst of overwhelming need, it becomes a source of encouragement, reminding them that they are not alone as they care for their families and continue serving their communities.
These pastors are ministering in areas where the need is great, and resources are scarce. Together with Hannah’s Toys of Hope, they are reaching not only the children in their churches, but also families in surrounding communities, many of them remote and often overlooked.
But the challenges are real.
With severe fuel shortages across Cuba, traveling to these communities has become extremely difficult. In many cases, it is nearly impossible. The cost of transportation has increased, and reaching those in need requires sacrifice, creativity, and perseverance.
Lauren’s Story: More Than a Toy
Yaima recently shared the story of a young girl named Lauren.
Lauren had always dreamed of having a stuffed dinosaur, but like so many children in Cuba, that dream felt out of reach. Her parents simply could not afford it. When you are struggling to put food on the table, a toy is never a priority.
But God saw Lauren.
Through Hannah’s Toys of Hope, Yaima was able to place a small stuffed dinosaur into her hands.
That moment meant everything.
It wasn’t just a toy—it was joy, dignity, and a reminder that she is loved.
