From Struggling Church to Sending Church
A church that sat at 15 people for three years is now nearly 90—and has already planted another church.

When I first met Pastor Noé in 2020, his church plant had been meeting faithfully for three years—but had only grown to about 15 people. The congregation was discouraged and struggling to move forward.
But God wasn’t finished writing the story.
Over the past several years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside Noé and his team through mentoring, prayer, evangelism training, and leadership development.
And today, everything looks different.
A Church Growing—and Multiplying
Today, Vida Durango has grown to nearly 90 people and is preparing to formally organize as a church.
Even more exciting, they have already launched a second church plant: El Camino (The Way)—where new believers are being discipled and preparing for baptism.
What once felt stuck… is now multiplying.
Reaching a New Generation
One of the most powerful ways God is working is through outreach to young people.
Through a soccer ministry led by Noé and his friend Hugo, they are connecting with teenagers and their families in a natural and meaningful way. What began as a simple sports outreach has become a bridge for the Gospel.
Through soccer teams, arts and crafts with mothers, and personal testimonies, doors are opening to share Christ again and again.
This growing group has now become a small-group Bible study—creating space for discipleship and deeper relationships.
And there’s more.
Noé shared that they are trusting God to launch another church as early as this August through this very outreach.
New Doors in New Cities
God is also opening doors beyond Durango.
In the city of Torreón, a young leader named Juan recently reached out to Noé, asking for training and mentorship to start a new church.
This new work will be planted under the guidance and covering of the Vida Durango leadership.
Noé believes Juan has a humble and teachable heart—and a deep desire to see the Gospel spread in his city.
The Power of Multiplication: Three New Frontlines
It wasn’t that long ago that Vida Durango was struggling to survive. Now, the Lord has transformed them into a vibrant mother church currently multiplying into three distinct communities:

El Camino (The Way): Launched last August, this second church plant is already thriving, with new believers being actively discipled and preparing for water baptism.

The Soccer Outreach Church: Through a dynamic partnership with a local coach named Hugo, Pastor Noé’s ministry has turned a youth soccer school into a powerful tool for the Gospel. By engaging adolescents on the field, doors have blown wide open to reach their families. Through team activities, testimonies, and arts-and-crafts groups for the mothers, a thriving new small-group Bible study has formed. Their goal is to formally launch this group as a new church plant as early as this August.

The Breakthrough in Torreón: The Lord is also expanding our territory into the city of Torreón, Coahuila. A friend of Noé’s named Juan recently reached out, sharing a deep desire to plant a church in his city. Juan has shown incredible humility, commitment, and a hunger to learn. This new frontier will allow us to establish a new congregation under the spiritual supervision and covering of the Vida Durango leadership.
It is absolutely exhilarating to watch a once-struggling church become a catalyst for a regional church-planting movement!
