Join us in Prayer…

Prayer is of transcendent importance. Prayer is the mightiest agent to advance God’s work. Praying hearts and hands only can do God’s work. Prayer succeeds when all else fails.

Pray:

    1. We are praying that we can be involved in seeing 1,000 churches planted in Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and wherever else the Lord opens the door for us to minister Beyond Borders!
    2. For Pastor Rene and Yarelis as they lead Hannah’s Toys of Hope ministry.
    3. For Pastor Daniel & Yolanda Nuñez with Ministerios Transformación and our partnership with them.
    4. We have an assessment center for new church planters coming up in Tijuana on May 13th and 14th.
    5. For Abbi Nuñez Covarrubias as she is working with us. We are excited to have her partner with us in ministry!
    6. For Pastor Federico & Blanca Muñoz in Mexicali. Read more here…
      • We praise the Lord that they held their inaugural service on December 17th.
      • We are working with them to raise the funding to finish building the church. We’d like to build a room for children’s ministry.
      • That many people will come to Christ and grow in their faith through this ministry.
    7. For Pastor Eliel and Jessica Osorio and their team as they plant the church in Oaxaca. Read more here…
      • We praise the Lord that the church is growing, and they now have 120 attending.
      • Pray for more lives to be transformed by the gospel as they reach out in Oaxaca.
      • Pray that the Lord will provide the funding for the land for this church planting project.
    8. For Pastor Petri & Yudy Petrikowski who are planting a church in Ensenada.
      • Pray for the church to continue to grow and for creative ideas for outreach.
      • Pray for their Alpha ministry outreach this Spring.
      • Pray that they can find land, and build a church soon – 2024 would be great!
    9. For Pastor Noe & Eneydi Reyes in Durango, Mexico. He is working with “Fulbolistas para Cristo” (Soccer Players for Christ) to reach out and disciple professional soccer players.
      • He’s also working with soccer players to minister to youth. It’s a new project that has great potential!
      • Noe would like to buy some land in 2024 so they can build a church.
    10. Continue to pray for our familia as they work to plant churches in various cities on the Big Island.
      • Pray for the Lord’s provision for our pastor friends, their families, and those in their church as they lead their churches on the Big Island under difficult circumstances. The country is under much duress. We still need support from our generous friends like you.
      • The families on the Big Island. Food is scarce, and families are struggling to feed their children. Give for the needs on the Big Island…
      • Pastor Justo and Sara on the Big Island. They have a goal to start 50 churches and see 1,000 people come to Christ. Sara just had major surgery and she is recovering.
    11. For Pastor Neri Rivera and his wife, Karina who are planting a church in Tapachula, Chiapas. Neri has a form of cancer and he is receiving treatment.
    12. Pray for Pastor Adnier & Mariesly Padron and Pastor Nelson & Betsy Beltran who just moved from the Big Island to start planting churches in the Dominican Republic.
    13. For Pastor Hector & Perla Sigala as they lead church number 50 which is on the eastern edge of Tijuana.
    14. The Lord has given Dave and Dawn some great opportunities to coach and mentor pastors and their wives in Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali, and other cities throughout Mexico and on the Big Island.
    15. Dave and Dawn are meeting regularly on Zoom and in person with several Mexican church planters to encourage and strengthen them.
    16. For the following new pastors that we are working with this year.
      • Pastor Marin and Lupita Silvano in Mexicali.
      • Pastor Alain and Clara Elena Espinosa in Oaxaca.
      • Missionaries Hugo and Yasmin Orellana in San Jose de los Cabos.
      • Pastor Jonathan and Garvi Valenzuela in Tepic.
    17. The ministry of Ministerios Transformación (MT) and our partnership with Pastor Daniel Nuñez and his wife, Yolanda who lead MT.
    18. We are partnering with Pastor Daniel and Ministerios Transformación on several church planting projects in Tijuana, Rosarito, and Mexicali.
      • For Pastor Jorge and Lucy Alvarado as they lead this new church in Mexicali. Read more here…
      • Pastor Victor and Sol Bravo as they lead the church plant in Rosarito, Mexico. The church is reaching out into the community feeding children and offering a tutoring program.
      • Pastor Ivan and Rocio Casados the church is growing as they reach out in Valle Verde/Ribera del Bosque.
      • For Pastor Abraham and Martha Velazquez. Abraham pastors the Ministerios Transformación church in Rojo Gomez. He and Martha need wisdom as they balance ministry and family.
      • For Pastor Pastor Jaime and Valentina Rodriguez as they lead the MT in La Morita.
      • For Pastor Jose Luis and Raquel Rivera. They are working in a difficult area called Lazaro Cardenas. Pray for the gospel to break through.
      • Pray for Pastor Favian and his wife Ana as they lead the church plant in Mexicali.
      • Pray for Pastor Yovani and Esmeralda Robles as they plant their church in Tijuana. Esmeralda suffered a stroke last year. We are praying for her healing, and for the Lord’s grace and comfort.
      • Pastor Juan and Viki Huape in Mexicali. They are doing a wonderful job reaching out to people who are coming out of addictions.
    19. For the pastors we are mentoring – each pastor needs wisdom as they reach out to their communities and seek to grow their church.

      • Pastor Benjamin and Blanca Romero as they begin to do outreach in La Paz, Baja California Sur
      • For Pastor Noe Reyes and his wife, Eneyei who are planting a church in Durango.
      • For Pastor Marcos Valera and his wife, Tonantzin who is planting a church in Culiacán.
      • For Pastor Roberto Mendoza and his wife, Gabriela who are planting a church in Ciudad Obregon.
      • For Pastor Neri Rivera and his wife, Karina who are planting a church in Tapachula, Chiapas.
      • For Pastor Hector Bautista and his wife, Lulu who are planting a church in Hermosillo.
      • For Pastor Acero Valencia and his wife, Alma who are planting a church in McAllen, Texas.
    20. Peter and Jenny Boling as they minister in La Paz, Baja California Sur. They are partnering with Benjamin and Blanca Romero in their church plant.
    21. For Jim DeWitt as he is ministering with our team, and serving with us in the area of executive administration, training, and coaching.
    22. Pray for the funds that we need to raise for these new projects in Tijuana & Mexicali as well as the other church planting projects that we are partnering with.
    23. Monse just graduated from Westminster Seminary on May 27th. She moved to Ann Arbor Michigan in July to work with Reformed University Fellowship on the campus of the University of Michigan.
    24. A friend asked me at the beginning of 2018 what would be a miracle goal. After praying about it for some time I felt like it would be a miracle, something only God could do if we could be involved in helping to plant 1,000.
    25. Planting 1,000 churches requires a lot of resources. We are praying that the Lord will supply the needed financial support and raise up a team to help us reach our goal.
    26. God’s continued work of healing for our family as we grieve our daughter, Hannah’s moving to heaven.

    29. For our trips and just ministry, in general, we ask for:
      • For strength and stamina while we travel.
      • Unity, love, and peace between us and all those that we minister with.
      • Dave & Dawn will walk in the fruit of the Spirit moment by moment as we serve.
      • That we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
      • Wisdom, discernment, strength, power, and protection, as we fight the spiritual battles that the Lord is calling us into.
    30. Wisdom for our leadership in Mexico as we seek to see the gospel go forth, and for the church to expand.
    31. Dawn and Dave need to work on raising more support and to trust the Lord to provide so that we will be fully funded, and be able to focus on the ministry on the border.
    32. God is opening up some new opportunities as I get to know the leaders of the Mexican National Presbyterian Church on the border and throughout Baja California.
      • Pray that my relationship with them will be strengthened and for wisdom about the best way to work with them.
    33. For our relationship with the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico as we work with them on various church planting projects throughout the country.
    34. God’s blessing, wisdom, and direction as I network on the San Diego – Tijuana border.
    35. That the Lord will raise up more workers to join us in church planting and training on the Border, the Baja, and Beyond.

    Our Family:

    1. David, Jr. works in Aero Technology. He married Emily on May 26, 2019, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We are very happy for them! They just had their first child, on April 29, 2021.
    2. David, Jr. suffered some temporary brain damage due to hypoxia in 2020. Pray for his complete healing. We praise the Lord that he was able to go back to work on June 6, 2022. David told us recently that God healed him, and that God is answering our prayer!
    3. Jonathan married Hannah, in a beautiful wedding ceremony on December 1, 2018, in Colorado Springs. Jonathan and Hannah are now living in Pennsylvania. Jonathan just graduated from his ministry school.
    4. Our son, Jonathan recently found out that he has diabetes. We are praying for his health and healing.
    5. The Lord called Hannah home suddenly and unexpectedly on October 18, 2016. We are grieving her loss while remembering our hope of heaven. This is an ongoing battle – it doesn’t seem to go away with time.
    6. We love our children and we are very proud of them.
