God’s Healing Touch: Dad’s Bypass

Ron & Virginia Diaso (Dave's dad and mom)
Ron & Virginia Diaso (Dave’s dad and mom)

On Wednesday my dad, Ron Diaso underwent an open heart bypass surgery. It made for a stressful day, but the Lord answered our prayers, and my dad made it through the surgery.
I asked many to pray through this blog, Twitter and Facebook and many responded. I’ve been extremely encouraged by the outpouring of love and prayer support.
Thank you for praying!
Thank you Lord for coming through! Thanks so much for giving us more time with my dad this side of heaven.
I do pray that my dad will grow in his faith and love for the Lord, and use the time well that the Lord has gifted him with.
God blest me by enabling me to be in Fresno with my parents and my brothers during the surgery and these days of recovery. My dad was moved from ICU on Friday, and we are hoping he will come home by Monday.
Thanks for standing with us friends. You are a tangible reminder of God’s grace and his loving care for us.
In His Grip, Dave

So happy to read and see that ‘Mr. Diaso’ as I affectionately remember him, is doing well and recovering & healing. He is so blessed to have been made aware and treated for any potential heart health issues before they became as serious as they could have. I know of which I speak. We lost my dad to a sudden massive heart attack in 1995 and the tender age of 59. The autopsy report showed lots of blockages and hardening of arteries. We had no idea of any potential problem….until it was too late. Since then, I am always stressing to family & friends the importance of seeing a health professional and knowing & taking care of the precious body of life the Lord has given us. I have & will continue to keep your dad and your family in prayer for continued recovery and precious good health.

Thanks for your note Laura. I remember going to your dad’s funeral, and it’s hard to believe that he wasn’t that much older than we are now.
We are grateful that my dad made it through this surgery. It’s hard to look someone you love in the eyes, and realize that you may never see them again this side of heaven.
I hope you and your family are doing well. Thanks so much for praying for my dad!

Thank you Dianne. He’s out of ICU now so that’s a relief. We are hoping he will be doing well enough to come home on Monday.

Thanks – my dad is home and recovering now. I’m also back home. It’s nice to be with my family, but at the same time I miss my mom and dad.
