Faith in Motion: Meeting Needs and Sharing Christ’s Love

Testimonies of Faith and Transformation

I love receiving testimonies from our pastors and leaders on the Big Island. Every week, it’s exciting to hear about people accepting Christ and receiving the aid we send. They are actively sharing the Gospel through evangelistic outreach, and the people are incredibly receptive.

I have mixed emotions—my heart is warmed and encouraged by their faithfulness and the way people are being drawn to Jesus. At the same time, the great needs they face are heartbreaking. Often, the aid we send arrives at just the right moment, a tangible reminder of God’s provision.

A Mother’s Cry: Answered Prayers in a Time of Need

The children’s faces lit up with joy when as they received the sandals Yaima brought for them.

One testimony that deeply impacted me came from Yaima, a leader doing outreach to children and their families. Many of these families are struggling to survive, and she shared a powerful story of God’s timely provision:

“I found four pairs of sandals at an affordable price and bought them to bless four children in great need through our ministry, Hannah’s Toys of Hope.”

Video: A Mother’s Cry

The mother featured in the video was overwhelmed with emotion as she shared her story through tears: “Thank you to the ministry for blessing my children. They had no shoes and were walking barefoot.” She then adds, “A father may abandon his children, but God never forgets them.” Her husband had abandoned their family and provided no support, leaving her to struggle alone. She had been crying out to God for help and He answered beautifully and unexpectedly.

Serving the Least of These

This reminds me of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:34-36, where He paints a powerful picture of what it means to truly love and serve Him. He welcomes those who cared for others, saying that every act of kindness—feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, visiting the sick—was done for Him.

One moment that stands out is when He says, “I was naked, and you clothed me.” Imagine someone cold and vulnerable, then picture the warmth and dignity restored by simply offering them clothing. It’s more than just a physical gift—it’s love in action.
