A New Chapter of Hope: Church Planting in Cabo San Lucas
Imagine moving into a thriving, booming coastal city—a place filled with young families and professionals chasing new careers—only to find that amidst all the growth, there is a deep, quiet longing for community and spiritual hope.
That is the exact story unfolding in El Tezal, one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
When God plants a church, He doesn’t just build a gathering space; He creates a refuge of grace, a place of belonging, and a beacon of hope. Today, we are thrilled to share how God is using faithful leaders to expand His Kingdom into this spiritually hungry community!
From One Grace-Filled Seed: Senda de Gracia
Around six years ago, Pastor Benjamin Romero and his wife, Blanca, stepped out in faith to launch Senda de Gracia Church (Path of Grace) in La Paz, Mexico.
Starting a church requires patience, sacrifice, and relentless faith. Over the years, we’ve watched with joyful hearts as God has watered those early seeds. Today, Senda de Gracia is a vibrant, growing congregation of 50 to 60 believers worshiping together weekly—and just this past summer, they reached dozens of young hearts through a dynamic Vacation Bible School outreach.
But the story doesn’t end in La Paz. Multiplication is in the DNA of the Gospel, and Senda de Gracia is officially preparing to plant a daughter church!
The Vision: Senda de Gracia Cabo
Leading this bold new endeavor are Pastor Benjamin’s daughter and son-in-law, Gaby and Randy.
Gaby and Randy have a passionate heart to reach an underserved, unreached area of Cabo San Lucas called El Tezal.

A Rapidly Growing Community: El Tezal is currently home to over 3,500 families (around 10,000 residents) and is projected to double in size in the very near future.

A Relational Need: As young professionals and families move in from all across Mexico, many end up living isolated, busy lives. They are searching for authentic relationships and real connection.

A Spiritual Oasis: Spiritually speaking, El Tezal is currently a desert. With very few established churches nearby, families often have to travel long distances just to attend a service.
Senda de Gracia Cabo will not only bring the light of the Gospel to this neighborhood, but it will also provide a warm, welcoming community where people can anchor their lives in Christ.
Preparing the Soil: How You Can Stand with Gaby & Randy
As bivocational church planters, Randy and Gaby are working hard behind the scenes—building a core team, casting a vision, and receiving additional pastoral training to lead this new church effectively.
They are already putting practical outreach strategies into motion:

Their goal? To officially launch Sunday Worship Services in May 2027!
