Celebrating the Life of Hannah Diaso

Our Beloved daughter

Our beautiful daughter and beloved sister, Hannah
Our beautiful daughter and beloved sister, Hannah

It’s with heavy hearts that Dawn, David Jr., Jonathan and I inform you that Hannah, our daughter and beloved sister went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning. We grieve, but not like those that are without hope.
Hannah was a loving, caring, sweet young woman who the Lord used to encourage and bless so many. As Dawn, David Jr., Jonathan and I have been interacting with friends about Hannah’s passing we’ve been amazed by the stories. Just last night Hannah’s friends from IMPACT 195 organized a prayer vigil. It was a wonderful time, and we heard stories of how Hannah touched people’s lives and what she meant to them. It was an uplifting time amidst the pain we are going through.
Hannah’s encouraging spirit was used to lift up people in both the U.S. and in Mexico.
Hannah with her brothers, Jonathan & David

Hannah was a wonderful and loving sister. Her brothers adored her, and it was always so fun to see them together.
We must admit we don’t know why Hannah was taken at such a young age, but we know that the Lord’s plan is higher and better than ours. We know that Hannah’s in a place where there isn’t any more suffering, and there isn’t any more pain.
This passage in Isaiah expresses well some of what we are going through,

“The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; he enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness.”
Isaiah 57:1-2 ESV

Our family is thankful for the peace and joy that Hannah is now experiencing. The Lord has given friends visions of Hannah’s joy of being with her Father. That also gives us much peace.

Oh my goodness Dave, I am shocked and so saddened to see this. No parent should have to bury their child. I follow you and know that
Hannah had had some struggles but thought she had pulled through. My heart and prayers go out to you, your wife, sons and family. Praying our Lord will comfort you and give you strength at this most heartbreaking time.

When I saw the title of your post, my heart sank. How could this be? I know lean now on the sureness and joy of knowing that Hannah is at home with our Father, but that here on earth, your hearts mourn her and your souls ache. Oh, that I could take some of that from you. Yet only our Father can do that. I leave with in His arms with my love, thought, and prayers.

You have my deepest, most heartfelt condolences and prayers for peace, comfort and strength for your entire family during this sad and devastating time. Hannah blessed so many people during her life and now she is in the loving embrace of her Savior; she is free from the ailments of earthly life and is now rejoicing in the glorious Kingdom of God.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Hannah personally very well. Hannah and I shared some very close mutual friends, but the strongest memory I have of her was possibly her 13th or 15th Birthday party I believe? It was a small BBQ at the Diaso home and Hannah welcomed me as if we’d been friends for a long time. Her heart was a pure gift of God and she was equipped to show Christ like love so easily. My heart aches for the entire Diaso family because anyone who knew you, knows Hannah is your sweetheart. This blog is so inspirational among so much grief. I pray you find Gods presence in all you do.

    Dear Diaso family,
We grieve with you the loss of your beautiful daughter Hannah. We met for the first time this past September in Escondido, CA. My impression of her was “What a beautiful young woman through and through, inside and out!” She lit up the room with her gorgeous smile, and she even made me feel loved by complimenting me! All this to say, she did indeed impact many in her life, even in brief encounters! May the Lord comfort your hearts and grant you continued peace in knowing that she is with our Father. We are so sorry we can’t be there at the memorial as we have returned to Australia at the end of September, but we will be praying for you.
    Much love to you!

Dan and I are praying daily for each of you … with the hope that Jesus promises in His Word! May you continue to feel His hope, His peace, His joy … the joy of knowing Hannah is safe with Him. But the grief and loss is real. Too real. Oh that you feel the LORD giving you peace of mind!! With sadness, we pray, for all your family, here and there!

Almost 20 years ago my son-in-law’s family went through this with their only daughter and two sons. It was at this time that my son-in-law felt called to the ministry and through her loss, he committed himself and is married to my oldest daughter. They are in ministry in W TX. No words can express what we feel at times like this. May the lord grant you perfect peace in His time. In Christ. Mary in Boise (All Saints PCA & Dayspring Reformed Church)
