A Growing Faith and a Growing Church
It’s so encouraging to witness when God’s powerful work in Oaxaca, Mexico! Our church plant, Hospital de Fe (Hospital of Faith), is flourishing, and lives are being transformed by the gospel. One such life is Nury, a doctor and single mother of two teenage girls, whose journey has been radically changed by Christ. Despite life’s challenges, her faith continues to grow, and she has become an active member of the church, serving on one of the leadership teams.
I love Nury’s story as it exemplifies how the Lord is using Hospital de Fe, led by Pastor Eliel Osorio and his wife Jessica to bring hope to many in Oaxaca. Since launching public services in September 2021, the church has experienced remarkable growth. They have grown to 155 people attending weekly, with a goal of reaching 200 this year.
A Special Visit: The Osorio Family
Last month, we had the privilege of hosting Eliel, Jessica, and their two lovely daughters, Sarvia and Tirsa in San Diego. We explored the city together and visited New Life Church in Escondido on Sunday. It was a wonderful blessing to share with one of our partner churches about God’s work in Oaxaca through Hospital de Fe. These connections are not only encouraging they are vital for strengthening and supporting the growing church plant.
Spending time with the Osorio family was a true gift. They are one of the sweetest families that we know, and we are honored to serve alongside them in this kingdom work.

Hospital de Fe continues to expand its reach and impact in Oaxaca:
- Weekly activities include men’s and women’s Bible studies, youth groups, prayer meetings, and Sunday services.
- They visit a local orphanage monthly to reach out and show the love of Christ.
- Recently, 18 people were baptized, including Nury and Fernando who have become leaders in the church.

As the church expands, they have an urgent need for a quality sound system and additional chairs. A reliable sound system will ensure that the worship, preaching, and outreach events can be heard clearly. More chairs will provide seating for new visitors and members as the congregation grows.
