When God’s Timing is Perfect: Stories of Provision and Encouragement

Timely Provision and Encouragement

Recently, I was talking to Pastor Dunesky and he told me that the financial aid we sent arrived just in time. He shared that if it hadn’t come when it did, they would have gone hungry because they had nothing to eat. While it was heartbreaking to hear about their situation, I was encouraged that the gift came exactly when they needed it most. We often receive similar reports from our Familia in the Big Island.

Pastor Dunesky also mentioned how much the devotional reflections I send mean to them. He said they often arrive at just the right time, speaking directly to the situations they are facing. We give thanks that the Lord is using us to meet both their physical and spiritual needs. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue to help in these ways.

Bringing Joy to Remote Communities
Aliane and Yaima on their way to minister to the children for Hannah’s Toys of Hope

Additionally, the ministry outreach of Hannah’s Toys of Hope continues to grow. Our friends Yaima and Aliane recently traveled to a new community, two and a half miles on a horse-drawn carriage in the hot sun, to minister in a small town. Their commitment to sharing Christ’s love never ceases to amaze me. While we might complain when our car’s air conditioning isn’t working, they endure the heat and humidity without hesitation.

Yaima shared, “The children were happy; the Pastor taught a beautiful message, we sang and played games, we prayed for them, and we gave them the toys. I explained to them what the ministry of Hannah’s Toys of Hope is, and how much God loves them, reminding them that He remembers them even though they live in a small community.”

This young girl in the photo above was worried that she was receiving the doll only so that we could have her picture taken and that she would have to return the doll. She was overjoyed and surprised to learn that she could keep it. She promised to take really good care of it.

Partnering in God’s Work: A Shared Joy and Blessing
Yaima with the Pastor Miguel and his wife, Yarais

Pastor Miguel and Yarais who minister at this church were very encouraged. They had been struggling a lot, but through this outreach, they began testifying to God’s faithfulness. We also sent financial blessings to Miguel and his wife, Yarais to support their ministry and personal needs. Yaima said to us, “Thank you for being an instrument of blessing.”

It is such a joy and blessing to be an instrument of the Lord to these beautiful people we call our Familia. Thank you for partnering with us to bless them and make this ministry possible.

In this video, created with the help of my colleague Jim DeWitt, we show how God is using toys to reach families.

Thank you for joining us in prayer, and for considering making a gift to help our precious familia.
