Ministry in the Midst of Crisis
Life on the Big Island has never been easy, but today, the weight feels heavier than ever. After decades of hardship, global instability, and the ripple effects of recent events in Venezuela, many families are now living at a breaking point. The pressure is immense. The need is urgent. And our familia is asking for prayer—for God’s provision, protection, and deliverance.
Yet in the middle of this crisis, something remarkable is happening.
What God Has Done Through Your Partnership
As we look back on all that God has done in 2025, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Despite the challenges, the Gospel has continued to advance. Lives have been transformed. Churches have been planted. Families have received food and emergency aid. And children have been blessed through Hannah’s Toys of Hope with toys, school supplies, and shoes.
Here are just a few ways we’ve seen God move this last year:

Stories That Remind Us Why We Serve
We give thanks to God that the seed is falling on fertile ground and that, through your generosity, we’ve been able to walk alongside so many in their greatest time of need.
One of the pastors directly affected by Hurricane Melissa, Pastor Eliaquín, shared these words with me:
“It is a blessing to have known Pastor David and to work together in the expansion of the Kingdom. I always thank God first, and then our mentor, David, for being a faithful partner. God has used him to bless my life, my family, and my ministry. These are difficult times, but we continue to see the hand of God at work in our lives, families, and ministries.”
Another testimony comes from Pastor Justo, who wrote:
“These past months have been filled with many challenges—16-hour daily power outages, food shortages, and an unsustainable cost of living. Yet despite all this, God has been good to us, and we have not stopped serving Him or extending His Kingdom. Above all, we give thanks to the Lord for His strength and mercy, and to our friend and mentor, Dr. David Diaso, for walking with me like a father.”
And finally, our dear friend Pastor Dunesky shared this deeply moving testimony:
“David, from the depths of my heart—and the Lord is my witness—if my family and I have not gone hungry, it is because of you and your ministry. Even when others did not know our need, God took care of us, and He used you as His instrument.”
We give thanks to God for these powerful testimonies and for all He is doing through our partnerships with pastors and leaders across the region. None of this would be possible without your prayers and faithful generosity.

God is moving powerfully in Mexico and across Cuba, where new churches are being planted, leaders are being trained, and families are being discipled, even in extremely difficult circumstances.
