Reaching the Harvest on the Big Island
I often write to you about the difficulties our Familia on the Big Island faces—chronic food shortages, lack of basic necessities, and frequent power outages. I share these stories so you can be aware of their challenges and join us in prayer, reaching out to offer help and hope.
Yet, in the midst of these trials, the Gospel is going forth with incredible power. Lives are being transformed daily. In my 35+ years of ministry, I have never encountered church planters as dedicated and relentless in sharing the Gospel as the Cuban church planters we partner with. Their passion and commitment inspire me greatly. As they faithfully share the Good News, many are responding and surrendering their lives to Christ.
Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” The harvest is especially ripe in Cuba, and God is moving mightily.
Remarkable Kingdom Growth in 2024
I recently asked the church planters we partner with on the Big Island to share a report for 2024. Each year, I’m amazed at the sheer scope of their impact and the lives touched by the Gospel. Here’s what God accomplished in 2024:
- 38,787 people heard the Gospel.
- 8,939 people surrendered their lives to Christ.
- 4,163 individuals received financial aid for food and basic needs.
- 312 children were served through our newest ministry, Hannah’s Toys of Hope.
- 268 new ministries and church plants were established.
We praise the Lord for this tremendous fruit! These numbers represent real people—men, women, and children—whose lives are being changed by the love of Christ.
A Joyful Answer to Prayer
When Dawn and I started this ministry, we prayed for this kind of multiplication. It is a joy to see God faithfully expanding His church and transforming lives. Your prayers and generous gifts have played a vital role in making this possible. Through your support, so many families and children have experienced the kindness of God in tangible ways.
On behalf of the church planters and families who have received your generosity, we want to say thank you. You have extended your hands to help, and God has seen your faithfulness. Together, we’ve been part of something extraordinary in 2024.
Looking Ahead to 2025: A Year to Multiply
As we look to 2025, Dawn and I are praying for an even greater impact. I believe the Lord is calling us to multiply our efforts—sharing the Gospel with more people, providing more aid, and planting more churches. But this vision cannot become a reality without your continued support.
