A Long-Awaited Church Plant
Have you ever witnessed a dream take root, grow through adversity, and finally blossom into something beautiful! That’s exactly what is happening right now in La Paz, the vibrant capital of Baja California Sur. Just two hours east of Los Cabos, along the beautiful Gulf of California, God is writing an new chapter-one filled with hope, perseverance, and answered prayers.
Across Mexico, we’re celebrating how God’s church is flourishing in cities like Tijuana, Mexicali, Ensenada, Durango, Oaxaca, and Colima. Today, I want to highlight what God is doing in La Paz. The journey of Senda de Gracia “Path of Grace” Church and the faithful family leading it.
Senda de Gracia Church
For over a decade, we’ve prayed and dreamed of planting a church in La Paz. Along the way, we’ve faced many challenges, but God’s timing is always perfect. Four years ago, He answered our prayers by bringing Pastor Benjamin Romero and his wife, Blanca, into our lives. Benjamin had already planted a successful church in San José del Cabo. After sensing God’s call to La Paz, they moved and launched Senda de Gracia.

Creative Evangelism and Growing Influence
Their journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been marked by creativity, resilience, and love for the people of La Paz. The whole Romero family, including their daughter, Gabriela, her husband Randy, and now their son Mike has played a vital role in building relationships, leading worship and sharing the love of Christ
Pastor Benjamin has used the Alpha Course—an outreach tool that introduces people to Christ—as a key strategy. He’s also hosted leadership table talks to engage entrepreneurs in conversations about faith and leadership. Their daughter, Gabriela and son-in-law, Randy also moved to La Paz to help. Randy was leading worship and teaching music lessons, opening more doors to connect with families and build community. Two months ago Randy and Gaby moved to Vizcaino, and now Mike is leading worship.

Four Years of Faithfulness
This spring, Senda de Gracia celebrated its fourth anniversary. The church now welcomes 65–70 people each Sunday and continues to grow. As attendance increases, they’ve outgrown their current meeting space and are now remodeling the church to make room for worship and ministry gatherings.
However, summer heat and humidity make outdoor gatherings difficult. While the core group remains committed, new visitors often struggle with the uncomfortable conditions. This highlights the urgent need for a proper church facility.
Join Us in Prayer and Support
Please pray with us for Pastor Benjamin, Blanca, and the entire Senda de Gracia church family as they faithfully serve and expand the Kingdom of God in La Paz. They are asking God for the right property to purchase and for the funds to build a permanent church home.
We are in conversations with a group of friends who have expressed interest in helping us to build the church once land is secured. Your prayers and support could help make this dream a reality—giving the church a lasting presence in La Paz and the space to continue reaching more people with the gospel.
